DigiBand is a musical instrument simulator game for Windows PC.

DigiBand is a game which allows the player to play virtual musical instruments such as a drum set or guitar. With several difficulty levels, players will be challenged to keep up to the game. Similar to other games in the genre, players press a key or button to indicate notes and bars displayed across the PC screen. Timing is all for games like DigiBand, and the one who presses the keys at the right times wins.

Although it might be better played using a game controller, DigiBand can also be played using a standard computer keyboard. For players with the guitar from Xbox 360 or PlayStation 2, DigiBand is compatible - just plug it into the USB port. If the game does not immediately recognize it, restart the software and then enjoy the show.

DigiBand comes pre-installed with a few songs and also offers an official website where further songs can be downloaded to play during the game. This is a good thing as DigiBand can be a challenge, even for experiences rock star type guitar and drum set simulator games. There is a song pre-included with the DigiBand software that is rated 'easy' and pleasant for practise sessions.

Drawbacks to DigiBand are that the mouse is not supported in the game; drums can merely be used solo, and guitars are only available for multiplayer mode. Recent updates have made the game run smoother and load faster.

DigiBand will require a computer with Windows XP, Windows 98, Windows Millennium, 29.4 MB hard-drive space. DigiBand was released in 2010 by Seijinohki Software Company. It can support up to three players. It was written using basic C++ with SDL code using OpenGL by Jo-Anna Wall. Jo-Anna Wall owns company Studio Jaw where she has collaborated on software WithDint (no description available, sorry). For business clients, Wall has written RFM Pick, Op-Bar Tools, POS-Soft, AT Show, Sakura Sol Crisis, and Crystal Panic. Bear this in mind if the lack of mouse navigation is a nuisance, the developer's background is in keyboard-only controlled software.
